Eilik

The UK listing

RobotShop UK lists the blue Eilik at £167.99 including tax and indicates stock at our check. Shipping is calculated separately. This is a single robot listing; accessories or a second Eilik are separate purchasing decisions. Stock can change faster than a guide can be updated.

What you interact with

The published description emphasises touch, vibration, facial animation and interaction with another Eilik. These behaviours can be entertaining on a desk. They do not establish the open-ended conversation, factual answers or durable chat history people associate with a language-model assistant.

Charging and placement

The retailer lists USB-C charging, around one hour to charge and a 1.5-hour battery figure. Plan for a nearby charging point and a stable surface. The desk setting is part of the product’s appeal; it is not a substitute for a mobile robot patrolling rooms.

Choose it for the reactions

Eilik is a plausible option if you want a small expressive character alongside your computer. Compare Moflin if your priority is holding a soft companion, or a wheeled product if movement around a room matters. More hardware capability does not automatically make an interaction more enjoyable.

Cost of ownership

£167.99 including tax at RobotShop UK; shipping calculated at checkout. Extra accessories and another Eilik are not included in that comparison price.

Ask about replacement batteries, support and firmware updates if long-term ownership matters to you. A desk robot can be inexpensive to buy while still depending on a supplier for repairs.
