Palm-sized furry emotional companion with two-axis movement; it does not walk around the home.
Buyer guide · checked 16 August 2026
The market runs from small emotional pets to very expensive human-form systems. We include a robot here only when we can verify a UK-facing route or a genuine sales path.

Palm-sized furry emotional companion with two-axis movement; it does not walk around the home.

Autonomous wheeled home robot combining companionship, telepresence, monitoring and smart-home functions.

Wheeled expressive robot pet with face recognition, games, autonomous charging and GPT-enabled conversation.
Small stationary desk robot built around expressive animation, touch and social reactions rather than home autonomy.

Lifelike social humanoid focused on face, gaze, conversation and human interaction; the full-body platform is not a free-walking household humanoid.

Full human-form companion with powered facial, arm and hand movement. The retailer does not present it as a walking autonomous humanoid.
Human-form products are especially easy to misread. A full body may still be largely stationary. An expressive face may have excellent conversation but little useful physical autonomy. Purchase status and technical capability therefore stay separate throughout the site.
For expensive systems, ask for a live demonstration of the exact hardware configuration, clarify which functions are local or cloud-based, obtain written warranty terms, and establish what happens if the software service or manufacturer disappears. Six-figure robotics is still specialist equipment, even when the marketing photos look domestic.
