Company without a chatbot

Moflin’s appeal is its response to being held, stroked and spoken to. Casio describes voice-feature recognition and changing behaviour over time. Recognising a familiar voice is different from understanding the words you say. If your main requirement is spoken answers, this is the wrong category of product.

The practical limits

The two-axis head mechanism gives rotation and tilt. Moflin does not walk. Casio lists about five hours of use and roughly three and a half hours to recharge under its stated conditions. Think about where you will keep the charging bed and how often you want to handle the robot.

Privacy depends on how you use the app

Casio says core data is processed locally and speech is not recorded or understood. Optional MofLife uploads are a separate choice. Check the app’s privacy notice before enabling uploads; local core behaviour is not a promise that an optional connected app sends nothing.
